I didn’t start out an expert, I didn’t take my first flight until my mid-twenties, and plenty of travel got wasted on missed opportunities simply from not knowing what resources were out there.
Since then, I’ve made pretty much every rookie mistake so you don’t have to: overpacked like a maniac, nearly missed a port because I cut it too close. Somewhere in there, figuring it out as I go turned into actually knowing what I’m doing, and enjoying the trip a lot more because of it.
My philosophy is simple: I plan every trip like I’ll never get back to that destination, and I want the fullest experience out of it while I’m there.
